Pecan Pie
Getting ready
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup light corn syrup
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp molasses
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp flour
¼ tspn salt
1 tspn vanilla
1 ¼ cups pecan halves
9” pie shell
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Spread pecans along the bottom of the pie shell.
Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over pecans.
Bake for 45 – 50 minutes until the filling has set.
When crust begins to brown cover with aluminum foil or pie crust protector
to prevent the pie crust edges from burning.
Remove from oven and cool before serving.
My grandma taught this recipe to me and she learned it from from an old English cook book that her mother gave to her.
